They’re Always After Me Lucky Charms!

These Saint Patrick’s Day party favors are Magically delicious!

St. Patty's Day party favor toppers final

This year we are having a St. Patty’s Day get-together. We are not getting elaborate, because it’s a week night. But I saw this adorable idea for Saint Patrick’s Day party favor toppers, and decided to try it out. It is fast and fun. You can make your own custom artwork for the topper, or use the art I made. Here is a PDF of the pattern in 2up format and 4-up format.

First, gather together scissors, a stapler, a box of Lucky Charms cereal, and some Ziploc snack bags or sandwich bags.

A regular 11.5 ounce box of cereal will loosely fill either 6 sandwich bags or 12 snack bags.

If you are designing your own, create the artwork at 6.5″ wide and approximately 3 or 4 inches tall. A third option, that requires no design time, nor paper and ink usage, is to use some scrapbook paper that has a Saint Patrick’s Day feel to it.

When you print out the party favor toppers, use a heavy weight paper or card stock. And make sure to select the special paper type in your print settings, as well as the Quality setting (rather than the fast speed) so the prints come out nicely.

Trim out the toppers and staple them onto the tops of the filled snack bags. Once they are all done, arrange them in a basket, place them on place settings, or in groupings around the party.

They are fun for kid’s parties or for the young at heart. And if you have any leftover Lucky Charms…yum!

  1. My kid would love for me to actually buy him Lucky Charms. Not gonna happen. Poor deprived boy. Of course, my mom wouldn’t buy them for me either, and I turned out okay.
